yey….hearing radio keep on repeating the kfc latest gimmick product that is a kfc cooking pot design musical coin box make me wonder what it is all about.

My friends kim also talk about it so today finally go to kfc and buy it……(thanks to my friend zero who fetch me there)the chicken taste not nice with oil coming out from it BUT the coin box is cute and made of porcelain with 3 different type of music being played randomly each time you drop the coin in it.

Apart from that, i feel that chinese is become from bad to worse. My friend zero blog recently always write with chinese languages and i find got quite many words i dunno how to read…and tata

yey….i bring out my dictionary (i bought it at standard 3 and go until petaling street because my teacher say it is the best)…..wakaka last time popular didt sell it mah now got liao.put there many years didt touch it and now bring out to use again.

I suspect perodua screw up my engine tuning.Will bring this issue up the coming services.i will ask them to tuned the engine back to factory setting and no need detuned or whatever tuned!! i think the problem is with me the driver that like to press pedal kuat kuat then brake very hard….i will try to change my driving style and see my FC got improved or not !!

Sedans can be sexy. It’s true. Banish the family-carriage-no-character image. Instead, think practicality, good economy, affordable tax and – whisper it – refinement.

Just think Honda’s Civic if you need a prime example. After all, the Honda Civic is one of the best selling sedan in Singapore. Ever wondered why? Well, it’s simply because (a) it has everything every family can ever need - practicality, good performance figures, (b) that killer styling we’ve never really seen come from Japan before this, and (c) the appeal of the Honda badge itself.

As a matter of fact, most Civic owners are repeat customers – having owned a Civic before, they’ll gladly trade in for the latest one whenever they fancy. Hmm…Honda should be counting its lucky stars for the strong following, and also having customers who are willing to pay good money for it.

The current generation Civic carries on with it the ethos of a Civic. Although the current outlook has a premium vibe, you can’t help but wonder how the next one will look like. But looking at how well its sales figure are, Honda figured, “why rock the boat?”

So instead of scurrying for an all-new car, Honda gave the Civic some light touches. Can’t seem to spot them? Well, we don’t blame you – it’s so subtle, you need to have really sharp eyes to differentiate the old from the new.

In keeping the Civic up to date, Honda decided to give its ubiquitous mid-sized sedan new headlight, fog light and tail light designs. The face gets a new grill too.

Buyers who are very keen on the Civic will be glad to know that two new colours were also added for the 2009-spec version – “Urban Titanium Metallic” and “Polished Metal Metallic”. So now there are, in total, seven different colours to choose from.

On a more personal note, I reckon some body-kits, more exciting alloy rim design and a subtle boot-mounted spoiler (ala BMW’s M3) will go a long way in making the updated Civic sportier. Don’t get me wrong though – I’m not saying the exterior needs any major rework, but after seeing so many pre-facelift models running on our roads since 2006, well, it can get pretty dull.

The inside story / The drive

To date, this remains the boldest cockpit design ever seen, this side of the competition. Firstly, it’s easy for the driver to get into his preferable driving position. Secondly, the steering wheel is perfectly sized with controls within easy reach. Thirdly, the twin-deck digital instrument cluster is easy on the eye. And let us not forget the handbrake lever too – cool stuff, ain’t it?

Saying it has a "large cabin" is an understatement. In fact, it has a very large cabin. With a wheelbase of 2,700mm, Honda’s designers manage to maximise the dimension and come up with a cabin that can ferry five around at any one time in utmost comfort. It has excellent shoulder room and generous leg space too – and together with that flat floor, ensures every rear passenger has adequate space and at the same time, keeping the infamous Economy-Class Syndrome at bay on long haul trips. Boot space? Let us just say it’s cavernous.

If you think that sloping roof might pose a problem for taller passengers, I’m glad to report that won’t be an issue (well, unless you’re of Michael Jordan’s height). At the same time, the seats provide adequate lumbar support. But somehow, the backrest feels as though it has been leaned backwards a tad too much.

Everything feels solidly put together, and with this impressive level, brings it close to BMW territory. Also equally notable are the large windows that provide an airy feel to the interior, and the wide-opening doors that ensures ingress and egress is a cinch.

Pop open the bonnet and you’ll be greeted by the Civic’s 1,799cc lump. A proven unit seen service also in the Stream MPV, the i-VTEC unit is complimented by a 5-speed automatic transmission that feels perfectly calibrated for our roads. Well if you’re new to the world of auto boxes, there’s also the steering-mounted paddle-shifters for you to make your driving experience a more enjoyable one.

With 140bhp and a maximum 174Nm of torque, the Civic gets from nought to hundred in only 10.2 seconds – which is a respectable figure for a sedan in this class.

In a nutshell

In comparison, its nearest competitor - the Corolla Altis 1.8 - comes with a 1,794cc VVT-i unit. Despite being 10bhp and 4Nm down, and at the same time 43kg heavier than the Civic, it can still manage to do the century sprint in 10 seconds. Yes, it’s still narrowly faster, but in terms of refinement, the Civic still leads the way.

The Civic’s helm feels properly weighted - not as meaty as the BMW 3 Series’, but close enough. It has pin-point accuracy, and on-road dynamics wise, is simply superb stuff. You can just chuck it hard into a corner or enter the turn without much brake - and the Civic will gladly do so with almost zero drama, and minimal body-roll. Out on the expressway, the Civic’s commendable refinement level once again has to be highlighted - the cabin is well insulated against wind and road noise.

But there is still no escaping from the tyre roar. Surprisingly, the 205/55 R-16 Bridgestone rubbers doesn’t seem to enjoy being pushed, and ultimately, underwhelms the Civic’s handling prowess. As you can see, the tyre seems to be an issue for the Civic – it doesn’t compliment the chassis, is noisy and squeals easily. If you’re driving a Civic currently and face the same situation, do consider a tyre upgrade.

Braking power is just perfect in the case of the Civic, and the centre pedal doesn’t need to be stomped hard just to get it working. In case the inevitable ever happens, rest assure that ABS and EBD is standard issue.

It’s hard to fault a car such as this Civic here.

However, if you’re the anal sort, well, maybe the minimal changes done just so it can be considered an “updated” version is quite a disappointment. But then again, the Civic here is a proven formula that just sells itself, so with or without the “update”, doesn’t really matter to the average buyer.

After all, as long as it offers premium feel without the premium price tag, it will sell like hotcakes. Especially if it's a Honda.

I must continue to be happy and smile always just like the usual me BUT without the talk too much or wanted to know more attitude.I hope i can change for the good and remove the name tag my friend kim give me that is “the CNN guy”. wakaka i feel funny about it.

Intro & Styling

What does it take for a carmaker to be No.1?  Perodua, Malaysia’s second automaker, recently knocked the dominant Proton off its perch to claim the top spot at home. Those of you who aren’t too familiar with how this happened might be thinking - “Wow! That must’ve cost billions for them to be able to accomplish that.”   

Only it didn’t. We’re not saying it didn’t cost them a pretty penny either. Instead of spending loads of cash on design, engineering, research & development, Perodua’s tactic was simply to badge engineer their cars. 

What this means is that Perodua’s cars aren’t of their own making. In a nutshell, badge engineering means one carmaker takes models from another manufacturer they’ve signed a contract with, slightly alter the interiors, slap their own badges onto the body and presto - you get the same product (perhaps with differing equipment levels) under a different brand name. 

So Perodua took the Daihatsu Sirion, slightly changed the interior and rebadged it as the Myvi. The Myvi then went on to sell so well, that it made Perodua the top-selling brand in the Malaysian market. 

To begin with, the Myvi is a rather squarish looking four-door hatchback. This is by no means a bad thing, since the squarish shape does indicate that in practical terms, there is bound to be lots of interior space. At 3,750mm long, the Myvi happens to be a good 175mm longer than its Viva sibling. And with a width of 1,665mm, parking the Myvi should also be a breeze.

The Myvi’s flared wheel arches dwarf the dainty (but cute looking) 14-inch wheels and tyres – the car could easily accommodate a set of wider and grippier tyres, which would give it a more planted stance. The wide front and rear bumpers with lower lips give the car a more substantial look, but without making the Myvi seem aggressive.

Also present are the turn-signal lamps which have been integrated into the wing mirrors. The vertically stacked tail-lamps look neat and trim - we like that kind of simplicity in cars like these.

Interior and The drive

Before sliding into the driver’s seat, the first thing you’ll notice is the all-grey theme. Potential owners should definitely start thinking of ways to liven up the interior – but then again with the car’s popularity across the Causeway, personalisation shouldn’t be a problem.

The optitron instrument cluster was a good call, but on a more personal note, the only other option, blue (which comes standard in the higher-end variants), would've been a more pleasant affair. The dashboard’s centre is occupied by a factory-fitted sound system with big, easy to read buttons – so unless you have an eyesight problem, you shouldn’t have any problem operating it. 

Within that squarish look mentioned earlier is a wheelbase that measures 2,440mm, giving the Myvi a 50mm edge over the Viva. Squeezing in a fifth passenger was just impractical in the Viva, but in the Myvi however, this can be easily done.

What would a hatchback be if it weren’t practical?  If the Viva’s rear seats could be folded down to create more room, well, so can the Myvi’s. The biggest difference here though, is that the seat’s bottom has to be extended first, before the backrests can be unlatched to allow it to fall forward. The advantage here is that the seats, when collapsed, are a lot flatter than what we previously saw in the Viva. 

After having driven the Viva last month, we figured that we’d find the same build quality in the Myvi. But the moment we got inside this car, it quickly became apparent that on the whole, the Myvi has a better cabin feel.

The Myvi’s DOHC 4-cylinder, 1.3 liter KJ-VE engine is capable of 86bhp at 6,000rpm and 116Nm at 3,200 rpm. Owing to its additional cylinder and displacement over the 1 liter powerplant, it also sounds more refined.

The extra 26bhp mustered by the Myvi over the Viva is very welcoming, although this performance is somewhat blunted by the extra 145kg of mass carried around by the Myvi. While this might sound like a disadvantage at first, the extra weight does give the car a more planted feel, especially on expressways. While the Viva was prone to being tossed around by crosswinds, this isn’t a problem here.

In conclusion

With Macpherson struts up front and a torsion beam at the rear, one might conclude that the Myvi is very comfort biased. A quick run through not-as-smoothly-paved roads should set the record straight though. The suspension here is a tad on the stiff side, so there’s a tendency for undulations to enter the cabin. But you know what?  We’d take a stiffer setup any day - it always makes for a more “chuckable” car. 

Potential buyers will be glad to know that while the engine’s displacement might have grown, its frugality however, hasn’t suffered as a result. An entire day’s worth of heavy-footed driving only managed to reduce the fuel gauge by a single bar – the same result we achieved with the Viva.

We have to mention that during our test, the engine still felt sticky and tight, but this was to be expected as our press car had only clocked up a scant 126 km prior to our road test.  Performance had to be coaxed from the still-fresh engine and 4-speed automatic gearbox, but we feel that this car should come into its own after it has been properly run-in.

Our biggest gripe so far has to be the fact that ABS/EBD and the dual SRS airbags are only standard in the two range topping models. After all, in today’s world, safety features such as these should be standard throughout the model range.

Despite these grouses, it’s still not difficult to see why this car turned out to be so popular. The Myvi’s interior has a higher quality feel, and thanks to the car’s slightly larger dimensions, is also roomier without it being more difficult to park. Its 1.3-litre engine packs additional power, and has the advantage of more torque at lower revs – without compromising on fuel economy. 

Is all of that worth the extra premium that the Myvi commands? Well, looking at it from a long-term perspective, we certainly think so.

Quite easy to say….but a bit difficult to implement lah….i have many things to think aka worry lah…i dunno what i worry also….i always stare at the SAD book that make me sad really….i flip it open 1 stare for 1 hour and close it back without reading anything…kind of frustrated with it.

This sem i work hard for it….i go to all the class and rarely late. Im not a smart student so i need to waste more resources aka work 5 time more than my classmates.

I hate my mpp group mate….with china student that dont understand english (i ingat they take some kind of english course before start their degree) but now i must say it is just a useless gimmick so called “english course”.Imagine how a cat and a dog talk??damn sienz.apart from there…3 other “tidak apa attitude” group member that pretend to be “sick”,"i donno” , “just seat there like i am their orang gaji aka maid” and expect all i do!!ok i just keep quiet and do the whole group work all by myself. i dont understand if they so like “cuti-cuti malaysia” attitude. why bother to come to class, just go back lah….i will not improved with this kind of group member sigh!!

Lastly “Success is need accomplishment with hardwork”. I hope i can get it…..time will tell.

SOHC VS DOHC

yey…this is the never ending battle between SOHC and DOHC engine.yey car nowdays mostly use DOHC type except honda or hyundai etc. Honda actually going back using SOHC engine for most of its car nowdays compare with the older model.

SOHC and DOHC are basically two different ways to configure the valvetrain. In the whole valve train setup there are camshafts, lifters, rockers, valves and springs. It is best that the valvetrain is light. Valves open at intervals of 25 times a second at 3000rpm. If the valvetrain is heavy, when the camshaft lifts it the valvetrain will just keep going up until the valve spring catches it. This is called valve float. You can overcome this with stronger (which means heavier) springs, but this extra weight increases the power requirements to open the valve.

The cams are driven by the crankshaft, using either a belt or chain called a timing belt or timing chain. If the timing belt/chain snaps and the camshaft stops spinning, the piston coming back up the combustion chamber might hit the open valves. This is very costly. That’s why you should always change your timing belt/chain at the interval specified by your car manufacturer.

SOHC refers to Single Overhead Camshaft. In the days before DOHC, it was known as OHC, with no need to differentiate between a single or double camshaft. In SOHC, the camshaft is situated in the cylinder head, above the valves. The valves are opened and closed either directly with a shim between the cam lobe and the valve stem, or via a rocker arm. SOHC engine valve configurations typically have 2 or 3 valves per cylinder. It is also possible to have 4 valves per cylinder using SOHC but this translates into a complicated combination of rocker arms and cam lobe shapes.

DOHC refers to Double Overhead Camshaft. This arrangement uses two camshafts in each cylinder head. Two cams per cylinder head means that a DOHC V engine has 4 camshafts because it has 2 banks of cylinder heads. This allows the manufacturer to easily implement a 4 valve per cylinder setup. Most of the time it also allows the engine to rev higher. It also allows better placement of the valves in an optimized setup that gives you maximum performance. But the disadvantage of such a setup is more weight, more cost and more complexity. It takes more stuff to drive two camshafts. The main reason to use DOHC is to drive more valves per cylinder. If a SOHC setup can allow 4 valves per cylinder, having a DOHC engine will not bring that much benefits over SOHC and the additional weight becomes a burden instead. DOHC engines also allows the spark plug to be placed right in the middle of the combustion chamber. This promotes efficient combustion. With SOHC, the camshaft is usually in the middle of the head because it has to drive both the intake and exhaust valves, robbing the sparkplug of it’s optimal location.

In the end, a SOHC 16 valve engine would have better torque on the low end where the DOHC valvetrain’s weight results in lower torque. But at high engine speeds, the 16 valve DOHC engine’s peak torque and horsepower would be greater. That’s the trade-off. With the amount of valves being equal, SOHC has better low-end torque because the valvetrain package is lighter while DOHC has better top-end power.

Other benefits of DOHC would be making it easier to implement variable valve timing technologies and also you can tweak it better with adjustable cam pulleys. If you were to put high-profile cams in your DOHC engine, the cam lobe profile can also be more optimized than a SOHC engine because you can play around with the lobe shape easier with separate camshafts for the intake and exhaust valves.

Why more valves per cylinder? Why not just make 1 huge intake valve and 1 huge exhaust valve? Bigger valves weigh more than the smaller one, so controlling the extra weight as it gets flung open and close becomes difficult. The spring has to be stiffer. A stiffer spring means more energy has to be spent overcoming the valve pressure. This partially oversets the gains which a bigger valve has to offer. Another problem with a single big valve is at lower RPMs the intake velocity will be lower. I’m sure you guys know this… the same amount of air going through a big pipe will have lower pressure than the same air going through a smaller opening. Think of how you can control the water pressure of your garden hose by adjusting the opening size with your finger. Because of the velocity drop, low RPM torque and driveability will suffer. Although two smaller valves weigh the same as 1 big valve, and with the extra rocker arms and springs they can actually end up weighing more, this is offset by less mass to be overcome when opening and closing the valves.

So to sum it all up, SOHC has better low-end power, DOHC has better high-end power and overall maximum power. 4 valves per cylinder is much better than 2 valves per cylinder and it doesn’t matter whether 4-valves is achieved via SOHC or DOHC.

yey…after studying at apiit for 2 years i think…..finally i manage to join their club….yey apiit bowling club……it look like not a club because not many member lah……maybe some didt come that day…haha.

I feel quite nice to play bowling once a week. with special price for the club membership fees. Claim that will provide training but tak ada lah……still ok because i dont expect such low membership fees will include training all……

Updates….

yey…..this few days feel very tired lah…feel very sleepy……haha i also donno why feel so tired……haha maybe sleep few more days will bring back my energy.

hoha….this 2-3 months i am very crazy about facial product lol……maybe to avoid my face will again break  down aka dry again lol…haha i not much into those product but that time my skin just really problem and i juz take my sis facial product and try put…….haha the product work wor……and also being recommend by my frenz kim……haha no $$ to buy kim product …..swt…..

The facial product i using now not many lah……haha

(from left to right)The 1st is the First Aid Gel……..yey emergency pimples rescue cream……quite good because the pimples will not become scar.the 2nd is the nose black head removal cream…(juz sapu 2 minutes later rub it off yey..easy)…great product that i have been searching for years to remove those stupid blackhead!!the 3nd product is the moisturizer cream…….and lastly is the face mask……hmm the best product from the face shop……when want go sleep ,juz applied it and sleep….wake up 2molo morning…..your skin will feel great!!

I think guys do use facial product ……but i do find that product that specially for guys not so good??maybe me only lah haha!!

haha….just sharing some info here/ not to promote the product. I still find that our food intake is important……if i eat too much fried food…..the pimples will come out like no people business and haha…….

Tropicana City Mall

 

yey……another new shopping mall in PJ lah……i think open before CNY but no chance to go until today……actually my dad bring us there there just to look around what is this new shopping mall is all about. Inside got a carrefour for all the grocery needs and of coz quite a lot of retail shop…..hmm i think ladies will like this place because got clothes shop etc……i personally feel that it is just like any shopping mall ala. ikano/the curve style lah……but the carrefour is quite nice and modern compare with the others.

hmm……i think my mom will like this new shopping mall because it is quite near her club house……can come here to shop maybe…..haha

Yey……have the chance to grab this magazines home when at tropicana city mall……yey interesting topic which car is better CITY or VIOS haha…..never ending argument and debate about it….hmm this magazines review tell it all……i found it quite interesting about the Proton disastrous and failure model Juara MPV which the journalist say “It wasn’t a bad product; it is just looked like it was designed by monkeys”. This sentences is actually included into a articles about the upcoming proton next baby the EXORA……that hoped will not be another monkeys designed product…..wakakaka

Badminton

haha….today go to play badminton with my friends…….swt……like many many years didt play liao……actually i very noob at badminton or sports de lah……luckily still know how to pegang the racket lol……luckily i play the people all very funny de… with the very “keng” referee that always confuse the marks lah haha …..

Quite fun actually i feel play some sports………can exercise somemore……sweat more than i go jogging at bukit jalil lol……i hope my hand will not feel pain tomorrow lah!!

Grumble and Compare

hmm……my group member complain he have no time to clean his beloved car and think of his beloved because he have to attend meeting every week…….i also donno what to say………maybe he must have some time management lah……

i found weird when people always say he tak ada duit lah,tak ada kereta sendiri, tak ada time sleep and etc………

No own car??………but everyday still driving a honda………hmm i think in life we must not grumble and appreciate the things we have……..for me if you say you no car mean you have to use public transport to go college study or tumpang ppl car……haha i dont think he pernah take rapid KL or metrobus or run to chase bus juz like me………swt i shuld be the person who bising first before you!!

time management is very important …….no i will not repeat what my frenz kim write in her blog……basically no time to sleep and no time to gaming because of 1 week 1 time 5 hour sad meeting is very unacceptable to me…..because we just have 3 days class 1 week and 10 hour class only in total!!no need go pasar malam work, no need clean house,wash clothes, fetch brother/sister…just work some part time 10 hour work already bising lah!! ok loh……another alternative is use Skype or WLM video call loh………later again say i too hightech they no mic lah no video cam lah…….swt……speechless

sometime i feel we should not compare what we have with other people……how can we compare??………like people got gf , i also must have ah??………no money??………haha how much you want??1 million ah……so young already complain no money……….i think have to learn money management lah……it is not about how much we earn sometime……but how much we can save it ………lol i like very pro on this……not really just some advice i get.

So like to grumble and not satisfy with what you have……..work hard and have better life in the future…and not keep complaining and comparing……swt!!

Cable Putus, Circuit Rosak??

A Person= Hey, why ah this few days the internet connection so slow ah??……facebook and lowyat.net always network timeout lol!!

Tzm=yalo,yalo,my internet connection also same lah………tmnut mah apa can expect??………you tak suka you keluar dari Malaysia lah attitude……dont compare with other country!!

TMNut Customer Services:………tu tu tu tu…………telefon ke overseas dengan lebih murah dengan tm homeline………

A=Kenapa itu internet connection very slow, TM problem ah??

TM=Oh, bukan kita punya problem lah, itu circuit rosak lah kat asia pacific cable………kita tak boleh control punya lah………sorry lah have to wait until March 5 lah!!then services will ok lah!!

TM=sambil minum tea and makan kuih………Kalau customer complain internet slow, we just read from the statement lah, say itu cable circuit problem……….jimat kerja and resources lah!!Slow or Fast also tak apa lah……we monopoly mah……most people also use kita punya stupidmyx mah……..they no choice punya……nothing to worry……hahahaha………TMNUT Voted the Best Internet Services Provider in Malaysia mah!!
